Helena Smith

Helena is a native Edmontonian and retired after being a Condominium Manager for
many years. During that time Helena has seen many changes to the Condominium
industry in Alberta and across Canada. She brings a vast amount of experience to the
field of Condominium with comprehensive knowledge of the operations and organization
of Condominiums. Helena is a past chair of the Board of Directors of CCI (Canadian
Condominium Institute, North Alberta Chapter) as well as serving on the national CCI
Board of Directors. CCI is a national non-profit organization, that provides education for
Board members, owners and anyone serving the Condominium industry. She is a frequent educator at seminars for CCI North Alberta and to organizations in Alberta speaking about Condo related issues. In the Fall of 2013, Helena was awarded an FCCI (Fellow of the Canadian Condominium Institute) a national award for contributions to the
Condominium industry.

Since retiring, Helena has started a consulting company, HRS Condominium Consulting,
specializing in Bylaws revisions and general consulting. She brings a wealth of
knowledge to provide the Boards and Owners the guidance and direction necessary to for them to direct the day-to-day operations of their Corporations.

Facilitating Bylaws revisions is her key focus. Helena works closely with Hugh Willis of
Willis Law and they have refined a revision process to be both time and cost effective.
No other law firm (that is known) offers revision services at a fixed price. Hugh Willis
offers the legal services, Helena offers the process and educational services.

Helena has a reputation of being meticulous and hard working, has a great sense of
humour and thoroughly enjoys the Condominium industry.
