Sheldon Johnston

Sheldon has 35 years experience in real estate industry where he has been heavily involved in the regulation and development of professionalism in real estate. As the broker for Liv Real Estate he oversees over 50 select highly ethical, well trained, very productive agents that specialize in protecting their clients’ best interests and creating exceptional real estate experiences. His innovative company has been the Consumers Choice award winner for Northern Alberta for the past 5 years.

He has extensive involvement in Condominiums with over a thousand condominium transactions ranging from individual units, to new complexes, and conversions of buildings into condominiums. 

He is a current director at the REALTORS Association of Edmonton (RAE) and the current past chair of the Errors and Omissions program (REIX), which handles all claims against real estate practitioners related to trades in real estate in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. REIX is the only organization in real estate set up to compensate consumers for issues not related to fraud. 

He is also a past council member of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) which is mandated with protecting the Alberta public and licensing practitioners in the Province.

He has participated in committees that are too numerous to list but include vice chair of the hearings and appeals panel for RECA. He also spent over 15 years with the RAE and RECA sitting on and chairing disciplinary hearings for complaints on real estate agents. 

He is sought after by government, organized real estate and other decision makers for his insights into the inner workings of real estate in Alberta.
